Your introduction to Norway is Molde, set among fields with snow capped mountains in the background. Maybe tour across the mountain plateau and rejoin Marco Polo in Åndalsnes in the afternoon. From Åndalsnes, in the Romsdalsfjord, there’s a chance to take in some magnificent scenery including the Trollstigen, one of Europe's most amazing roads with its many hairpin bends. Now visit Leknes on the Lofoten Islands within the Arctic Circle, a beautifully rugged outpost steeped in Viking history. On to Honningsvaag for the opportunity, weather permitting, to view the Midnight Sun at the North Cape on an optional excursion before sailing south to the Arctic city of Tromsø, packed with history and culture and home to Polar and Lapp museum displays. From the ship’s rail view Geirangerfjord, considered to be Norway’s most beautiful fjord, into which three famous waterfalls cascade - The Suitor, The Bridal Veil and The Seven Sisters. At the head of the fjord, nestled in a natural green amphitheatre surrounded by tall granite peaks, lies the picturesque village of Geiranger which marks a spectacular end to this wonderful cruise. A final day at sea brings you back to Leith with memories to treasure.
Note: The viewing of the Midnight Sun is subject to suitable weather conditions. Cruise P22T: Extend this cruise by 2 nights, sailing south to London Tilbury.
