After a day at sea, you awake to find yourself cruising along the beautiful Hardangerfjord where sheer mountains plunge into the still waters below. A short stop is made at Ulvik to disembark those passengers taking the overland tour to Eidfjord. In the afternoon you reach pretty Eidfjord, gateway to the Hardangervidda – the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe and the impressive Sysen Dam. Your cruise continues into the mighty Sogne to the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord where the village of Flåm nestles between high cliffs surrounded by steep mountainsides, roaring waterfalls and deep valleys. Not to be missed is the Flåmsbana, the world-famous railway that will take you on a six mile journey to Myrdal, spiralling its way up to the steep mountain gorge. Stavanger is one of Norway’s oldest towns where the cobbled streets and preserved wooden houses of Gamle Stavanger, evoke memories of its shipping and fishing heritage. Sailing from Stavanger, enjoy the breathtaking passage through Lysefjord flanked by steep cliffs and where towering Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock overlooks the fjord. This remarkable rock formation is one of Norway’s most photographed landmarks. A relaxing day at sea and all too soon you arrive back in Hull.
