From Hull, enjoy a day at sea heading for Scandinavia. As you sail into Oslo you’ll see marinas packed with boats, beyond which lies this sophisticated city with its parks and world-class museums.  You may opt to visit the Viking Ship Museum housing carefully restored Longboats from the Viking age. Your next call is the Swedish city of Helsingborg where the medieval fortress of Kärnan stands guard over busy markets and narrow streets. This is Sweden's closest point to Denmark, with Hamlet’s castle in the Danish city of Helsingør visible across the strait of Öresund. An overnight stop in Copenhagen allows time to see the iconic statue of the Little Mermaid and enjoy the famous Tivoli Gardens. Wander along Strøget, said to be Europe’s longest pedestrian shopping street, and experience the old world charm of Nyhavn, where Hans Christian Anderson spent part of his life, with its brightly coloured houses and wooden sailing vessels. Aalborg is one of the oldest towns in Denmark featuring several medieval landmarks and the Aalborg historical museum which tells the story of the town over the last 1000 years. All too soon Ocean Countess returns to Hull with a final day to enjoy the ship’s facilities and entertainment.
