Explore the best of the Baltic

With visits to five fantastic capital cities and an overnight stay in marvelous St. Petersburg, this cruise brings you the best of the ever-popular Baltic. In just one voyage you can visit world-famous museums and art galleries, ornate churches and opulent palaces, stroll through beautiful parks and take in wonderful performances of the traditional arts. Enjoy the amazing kaleidoscope of history, heritage, colour and culture.

Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid welcomes you to the city that charmed the Danish writer. With cobbled streets and laced with canals, Copenhagen is a delight and a canal boat cruise is the perfect way to explore. A city of wide avenues and elegant neo-classical squares, Helsinki, is very much at one with its surrounding nature. Optional tours show you the highlights of the Finnish capital, and visit the ancient town of Porvoo. With two full days in St. Petersburg our tour choice is comprehensive. It includes visits to the magnificent Hermitage Museum, gilded Catherine Palace at Pushkin, Peterhof Palace with its amazing fountains and an evening of colourful folklore. Wrapped within a medieval wall, Tallinn’s Old Town is a maze of winding cobbled streets watched over by Toompea Castle. Mingle with the locals as you soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era. Built on a cluster of islands linked by bridges, Stockholm is ‘beauty of water’. The option to visit the remarkable Vasa Museum is a reminder of the Swedish capital’s seafaring past. Finally enjoy the wonderful fjord scenery as Discovery approaches Oslo. The Viking Ship Museum and Vigeland Sculpture Park both feature in optional.
