Unlock a trove of architectural & artistic treasures

A showcase of Imperial Russia, St. Petersburg promises to be a highlight on this fascinating cruise exploring the rich history and heritage around the shores of the Baltic Sea. Discover the charms of cosmopolitan Scandinavian capitals, atmospheric Hanseatic cities and enjoy a leisurely transit of the Kiel Canal. Each and every time you step ashore you’ll be amazed by the wealth of art and architectural treasures.

Enjoy a day at sea before Marco Polo enters the Kiel Canal for a marvellous transit of the waterway linking the North and Baltic seas. First stop is the delightful German seaside resort of Warnemünde and the option to take a fascinating tour to the once divided city of Berlin. Still wrapped within its medieval wall, Tallinn’s historic Old Town – a maze of narrow, cobblestone streets, turrets and soaring spires, is simply bursting with character. The incredible Hermitage, gold-domed St. Isaac’s Cathedral, opulent Catherine Palace and Peterhof with its spectacular fountains will fill your days in St. Petersburg and with an overnight stay you might wish to take in a colourful folklore or timeless ballet performance ashore. In contrast Helsinki is a modern city of wide avenues, gracious squares and supremely elegant architecture. Optional tours include the city by vintage tram and the historic city of Porvoo. A boat trip on the waterways of Stockholm is a wonderful way to see the beautiful Swedish capital, built on islands linked by bridges. Alternatively visit the magnificent Vasa Museum, a reminder of the city’s illustrious seafaring past. Whether choosing to explore on foot, a panoramic tour, or canal boat ride, Copenhagen is simply charming.
