Unlock the history and heritage of our islands

For an island nation, the British Isles is simply brimming with both natural and historic treasures. This fabulous cruise with eight fascinating ports of call including many remote offshore islands is a chance to discover prehistoric sites, ancient castles, breathtaking scenery, glorious gardens, a diversity of wildlife and so much more. Charming Honfleur introduces a little French flair to compliment our wonderful island heritage.

Relax into life on board before stepping ashore in Invergordon. The town on the historic and scenic Cromarty Firth opens the door to Scotland’s Highland scenery and tales of the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Dominated by the medieval St. Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall is the capital of the Orkney archipelago. Optional tours visit the Neolithic village of Skara Brae, or former naval base at Skapa Flow. The Outer Hebrides is stunningly beautiful and the heartland of Gaelic culture. From the capital Stornoway optional tours include the remarkable Standing Stones of Callanish and Harris, home of the famous tweed. Tobermory’s brightly coloured houses cluster around the small bay where Marco Polo will drop anchor for your visit to the Isle of Mull. The tiny Isle of Iona, Cradle of Scottish Christianity, is one of your tour options. Ireland’s iconic capital Dublin is next and tours show you the highlights of this vibrant city. Enjoy the tranquillity of St. Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly or take an optional tour to Tresco’s famous Abbey Gardens before picturesque St. Peter Port and the chance to indulge in duty-free shopping. Honfleur, from where you might choose to visit Monety’s home and garden, is a delightful end to this popular cruise.
