Pauline Daniels is best known as one of the country's top comediennes and has been for over thirty years she is also one of our most prolific actresses and has gained respect all over the country and is Merseyside's favourite theatrical daughter.
In her capacity as a comedienne she holds the record for being the only female to have appeared on Johnny Hamp's and Granada's "The Comedians". Her other television credits include "Wogan", "Saturday Royal", "Mike Reid Mates and Music", And "Jimmy Cricket Summertime special" "The Tom O'Connor road show"amongst many other variety shows.
In 1986 Pauline started her "legitimate" career playing Mama Morton in "Chicago" at the Liverpool Playhouse swiftly followed by "Mama Rose"in Gypsy and the rest as they say us history.
Her theatrical roles have developed from musical comedy to all genres and her roles have been as far varied as "Annie Wilkes" in Misery to a "Mae West" Parody in the West End show "A Saint She Ain't" at the Apollo theatre Shaftesbury avenue.
In 1991 her most famous role to date arrived "Shirley Valentine" which has gained her so many accolades over the years they are too numerous to mention but the one that means the most is the fact that Willy Russell has hailed Pauline as "Our Lady of Perpetual Comedy". Pauline has played three of Willy Russell's favourite ladies as well as Shirley she has played Betty in Breezeblock Park and Mrs Kay in one of her favourite musical shows Our Day Out.
She has enjoyed every one of her roles over the years which include Helen Forrester in the new musical Twopence to Cross the Mersey which she played twice at the Liverpool Empire Mum in the new musical "You'll never walk Alone", Alice Fisher in Billy Liar, Mrs Sowerberry in Oliver, the list goes on and on but she is very proud of the award winning production of "Unprotected" an Everyman production which was hailed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2004.
Panto is a thing Pauline has always seen as enjoyable as long as she can play the villain her past performances have included The Wicked Queen in Snow White, which is a particular favourite a role she has performed on a few occasions and she played an extremely wicked Baroness Hardup in Cinderella.
She was honoured by John Moores University in 2009 with an honorary Fellowship, probably the proudest moment of her career. The Actors Studio is Pauline's baby an 80 seater theatre space which has helped a great many young performers, directors, technicians and writers to get their foot on that all illusive ladder of success.
Pauline became an author in 2011 and was commissioned by Trinity Mirror to write her autobiography called "Stand up and be Counted" and still continues to work as a stand up, as an actress and has even just started after all these years doing a bit of cruising and is thrilled to be doing her first Panto at the Liverpool Empire this year.
Andre Payne is a comedian / magician, his successful career has taken him all over the world with his unique blend of comedy and magic.
No stranger to cruising, to date Andre has performed on 68 different cruise ships and has done in excess of 500 cruises! Andre can fly anywhere in the world and perform two different 45 minute comedy cabaret shows with just 40 kilos.
