After your first night at sea, you arrive in Dublin, Ireland’s incomparable capital and one of Europe’s most engaging cities. Choose to visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Ha’penny Bridge and Guinness Storehouse. Then Discovery drops anchor off Tresco in the beautiful Isles of Scilly. Take the tender ashore and visit Tresco’s renowned Abbey Gardens with its riot of exotic plants, or take the optional excursion to charming St Mary’s to explore pretty Hugh Town and the coastal paths beyond. At St. Peter Port on Guernsey in our beloved Channel Islands, enjoy the springtime colour on an optional island tour, take advantage of some tax-free shopping, or simply relax in this pretty town where narrow lanes lead up from the harbour to a skyline of church steeples and tiled roof tops. On the south coast of Cornwall, discover Falmouth - famous for its colourful harbour, beaches and castle and infamous for its smugglers and pirates. Join one of the excursion opportunities to Land’s End, St Michael’s Mount or the extraordinary Eden Project with its ‘biomes’ filled with plant-life from around the world. All too soon, your cruise comes to an end as you sail back to Avonmouth.
