Cruise & Maritime Voyages create a very relaxing atmosphere which is ideal for enjoying our extensive programme of Guest Speakers, entertainers and craft specialists. Guest Speakers on this cruise is Bruce Thompson.

Bruce has been a unique comedy/musical entertainer for more than 45 years.  A ‘New Faces’  win led to a recording contract and a period as resident musician and contributor on ‘Tiswas’ .  Other TV credits have included ‘The Two Ronnies’, ‘Today with Des & Mel’, ‘The One Show’ and ‘The Generation Game’ with Bruce Forsyth who described the item as ‘One of the funniest games we’ve ever had!’

For many years Bruce worked at the BBC as warm-up-man for numerous shows including ‘BlanketyBlank’ with Les Dawson and ‘Every Second Counts’ with Paul Daniels.  He has featured in many TV adverts and toured extensively in cabaret and theatre.  Cruise audiences, however, are his favourite!

We are pleased to announce Joanne Kidd, Joanne specialises in Gardens. 

Joanne is a nationally and internationally acknowledged expert in the history and development of gardens and garden design, from Ancient Egypt to the modern day.  Her body of lectures reflects the depth and diversity of her knowledge, encompassing not only specific gardens and garden designers, but also the defining styles across eras and continents – and the cross-influences that have spread across the world as Empires rose and fell.  They also reflect her passion for the art, social and general history of these fascinating civilisations and their times.

She is an accredited lecturer for the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts (NADFAS) UK and has lectured for its associated societies in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.  She has lectured at the National Gallery, on Cruise Ships, and with several National Lecturing Agencies in the UK and Europe; also to the National Trust and County.

Also we have Sandra Wilkinson.   Sandra has worked on board Cruise liners before as a Arts and Crafts Lecturer.

Her responsibility on board ship was to present and Arts and Crafts for our passengers each day that the ship was at sea, and this she did with great success; her classes proving extremely popular, and attracting a high number of regular participants on every occasion they were scheduled.

Not only were her classes always varied and interesting for the participants, and the crafts themselves extremely attractive, but her ability to communicate with the passengers in a friendly and relaxed manner, while teaching each craft and encouraging their creativity, proved her a valuable asset to our programme of daily activities.
