Spend a relaxing day at sea before arriving at Copenhagen, home to the famous Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens and the old world charm of the Nyhavn inner harbour. From Warnemünde, one of Germany’s few sea resorts, take the optional excursion to Berlin, where must-see sights include Check-point Charlie, Charlottenburg Palace and the Reichstag. The Estonian capital of Tallinn, an enchanting medieval city packed with turrets, spires and winding cobbled streets, precedes a two day stay in glorious St. Petersburg. This will undoubtedly be the highlight of this cruise with a carefully planned excursion programme to historic and cultural gems such as the fabulous Hermitage, Catherine Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral and Peterhof. In the evening, enjoy a folkloric spectacular or a classical ballet performance. On to Helsinki, Finland’s capital with its harbour dominated by the spectacular onion-domed Uspensky Cathedral and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Stockholm is different again - a splendid waterside city built across a maze of islands linked by elegant bridges. Stroll along these waterfronts and wander into the enchanting, medieval Gamla Stan with its twisting lanes packed with craft shops and curiosities. Sadly, your cruise has come to an end but not before transiting the mighty Kiel Canal |
