Your first Norwegiaan call is the art nouveau town of Ålesund where streets lined with quirky architecture are a delight to explore. Enjoy a day at sea, during which you will cross the Arctic Circle and have a chance to view the breathtaking Svartisen Glacier from the ship’s rail. An optional tour to visit the Polar Zoo is a highlight from historic Narvik before an overnight stop in Alta, known as the ‘City of the Northern Lights’.
