The Guest Speaker on this cruise will be Ray Edwards specialising in European Gardens. Ray Edwards comes from a horticultural family and has been involved in gardening since an early age. He joined the staff of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, at the age of nineteen and after six and a half years left with the experience in most aspects of gardening an well as the prestigious Kew Diploma.

This marked the start of 35 years as a professional garden writer, first as Editor of "Garden News", then Editor of "Garden Answers" and "Plants & Gardens". There followed several years as a freelance gardening journalist, during which time Ray wrote several books, including the "RHS Practical Guide of Hardy Perennials".

We are pleased to advise that Rev Phil Wright will be joining us again on board Marco Polo and will be conducting an Easter Service on Good Friday and also Easter Sunday.
 

We are also delighted to announce that comic Matt Edwards will be joining us!  The magic phenomenon of Matt Edwards is a one-man comedy experience, he combines magic and laughter with ease, and he’s guaranteed to have any audience rolling around laughing with an act like you’ve never seen before. Matt has had numerous television appearances in the UK and has very quickly become one of the most sort after performers in comedy.

With arts and crafts growing in popularity, we are including sessions on all CMV cruises of five nights or more. Specialists will be delighted to demonstrate their talents replicating many of the growing number  of new crafting skills now witnessed on dedicated TV channels. These may include millinery, bead jewellery, mosaic decoration, calligarphy and decorative card art.

On this cruise we are pleased to welcome Christine Burfitt who will be running the craft classes on board! Christine is a qualified Tutor in Adult Education, and teaches arts and crafts in schools and colleges. She has an extensive repertoire of crafts in her portfolio - cross-stitch, needlepoint, scrap booking, card making, flower arranging, decoupage and glass painting. She also decorates eggs in the Faberge style.
